This is a quick run down on what I do on my 2-STROKE SERVICING
1. Compression test & replace SPARK PLUGS (to make sure the internals of the motor are fine)
2. Replace FUEL FILTER/ WATER SEPERATOR and make sure fuel hoses, primer bulb, connections and fuel pump are all fine.
3. Replace WATERPUMP, THERMOSTAT GASKET, POPPET GASKET & make sure the whole cooling system has no blocks by flushing out the power head.
4. Drain gearbox oil and check for any leaking seals and replace with High Performance GEARBOX OIL.
5. Remove and inspect prop and hub, Grease shaft with a TEFLON based grease and replace new SPLIT PIN.
6. Check battery, battery terminals, leads and battery switch and spray corrosion guard on terminals
7. Grease Motor, Trim & Tilt seals with TEFLON based grease, clean motor and spray INOX over the whole lot to protect motor from corrosion.
8. Run motor and make sure the battery is charging, water flow with no water leaks, steering, kill switch works and has gears & throttle response.
This is a quick run down on what I do on my 4-STROKE SERVICING
1. Compression test & replace SPARK PLUGS (to make sure the internals of the motor are fine)
2. Replace FUEL FILTER/ WATER SEPERATOR and make sure fuel hoses, primer bulb, connections and fuel pump are all fine.
3. Remove side cowlings and inspect power head bolts & trunk
4. Replace OIL FILTER, ENGINE OIL & OIL SUMP WASHER
5. Clean & replace power head anodes & seals if they need doing.
6. Replace WATERPUMP, THERMOSTAT GASKET, POPPET GASKET & make sure the whole cooling system has no blocks by flushing out the power head.
7. Drain gearbox oil and check for any leaking seals and replace with High Performance GEARBOX OIL.
8. Remove and inspect prop and hub, Grease shaft with a TEFLON based grease and replace SPLIT PIN.
9. Check Belt & gearshift linkages for slack
10. Check battery, battery terminals, leads and battery switch and spray corrosion guard on terminals
11. Grease Motor, Trim & Tilt seals with TEFLON based grease, clean motor and spray INOX over the whole lot to protect motor from corrosion.
12. Run motor and make sure the battery is charging, water flow with no water leaks, steering, kill switch works and has gears & throttle response.
13. Reset Service light if available
